One of the biggest questions Game of Thrones fans have on their minds this season is whether or not Jon and Daenerys will get together—like, sexxxually. Yes, Dany is Jon’s aunt, but incest is just as common as dragons on this show. (Heck, the first episode of GoT ever featured Cersei and and Jaime getting it on.) The sexual tension between these two characters is off the charts. Rewatch the cave scene from episode four if you’re skeptical—it’ll seriously make you sweat.
But Emilia Clarke might’ve just shut down this theory. In a post-show interview published on HBO’s YouTube page, Clarke dropped a subtle hint about who Daenerys ends up with—and it wasn’t Jon.
“The thing about Ser Jorah is that he has been the one from the very beginning,” Dany said. “I think he has an ability to see right through [Dany].”
Wait…so Ser Jorah is the man Dany rides off into the sunset with? That would be…strange. It’s pretty obvious that Ser Jorah is ride-or-die for Dany, but they never seemed like The Couple. According to Clarke’s quote, though, Ser Jorah is The One—so what the hell is happening?
And to add fuel to this fire, Clarke also said not to “read into” the scene between Jon and Dany on the cliff—ya know, the one where Dany is clearly turned on by the way Jon interacts with her dragons. It seems like this ship is officially shipwrecked, people.

Of course, it’s totally possible Clarke’s quote doesn’t mean anything and this is just another example of the GoT cast gas-lighting America. Looks like we’ll just have to keep watching to find out for sure.
